Who we are
The Itinerary Room is an independent travel advisory. Steven Knight is a Fora-certified travel advisor, and travel bookings are made through Fora, a US-based host travel agency.
What the inquiry form collects
When you use the Plan Your Trip form, we receive the details you enter:
- Your name, email address and country of residence (required).
- Your preferred destination (required).
- Optional details: approximate travel dates, number of travelers, approximate budget per person, type of holiday, any sample journey you are interested in, and your message.
- Your confirmation that we may use these details to reply to you (required).
Why we collect it
We use these details only to reply to your inquiry and, if you choose to go ahead, to plan your trip. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your permission.
How inquiries are handled
- When you submit the form, your details are sent to a script on our own website, which emails them to our business inbox. No separate form service receives your details, and the website does not store your inquiry in a database.
- The email is delivered through our web hosting provider’s mail system and kept in our email account, so those providers handle it on our behalf.
- To limit spam, the website keeps a scrambled (one-way hashed) form of your IP address with the times of recent submissions. It is used only to limit repeated submissions; entries older than 24 hours are ignored, and it is not linked to the content of your inquiry.
- Like most websites, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP addresses and the pages requested.
When you book
If you book travel, we and the relevant suppliers will need further information, such as passport names, dates of birth and payment details. These are handled through Fora’s booking systems and by the hotels, airlines and operators involved in your trip, under their own terms.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when you view a page.
